The wax of candles with wooden wicks can change the color due to the plant material tannin that naturally accumulates in the wood, so the darkening of the wax after a candle burning session is a normal reaction
It is recommended to shorten the wick to 3 mm before lighting the candle, otherwise it may go out
It is recommended to remove the burnt part of the wick before re-lighting the candle
In order to ignite the candle with a wooden wick faster, it is recommended to bring the flame source (for example, a match) into the contact with the wick and the wax
